(Note to women: we will be in a field, so take note, for footwear!!)
We have decided to maroon ourselves (and all of you!) on the beautiful and historic Holy Island.
This place is incredibly special to us. It’s where some of our earliest adventures began, and where we return time and time again to rest, recharge, and get some sea air. Tom’s family have also called the island home, on and off for the past 45 years, weaving it deeply into our story. We can’t wait to share this extraordinary place with you.
As you may have heard, Holy Island has its quirks, and that’s part of its magic. The island is only accessible at certain times, when the tide allows. On the day of our wedding, the causeway will open for your arrival… and then the tide will gently roll in, cutting us off from the mainland and the rest of the world.
We have very intentionally chosen this date to create a secluded setting for our special day, while still making sure you can travel to and from the island at the perfect times.
Safe crossing times:
Friday 31st July: 8.05am until 2.55pm; 8.20pm until 3am
Saturday 1st August: 8.40am until 3.30pm; 8.55pm until 3.30am
Sunday 2nd August: 9.15am until 4.05pm
It’s all part of the adventure, and we cannot wait to be wonderfully cut off from the world with you!
